Overview

What this program is

The thyroid affects energy, metabolism, mood, temperature regulation, hair and skin. When it is underactive or poorly regulated, the symptoms are easy to attribute to something else, so they often go unaddressed for years.

A complete thyroid panel gives more information than TSH alone. Where it is clinically indicated we look at free T4, free T3 and thyroid antibodies, alongside markers such as iron and vitamin D that influence how you feel.

Results are reviewed with you in person, in plain language, and compared against your symptoms rather than read in isolation. If treatment is appropriate, we discuss the options, the monitoring interval and what a reasonable response looks like.

Thyroid care is often planned alongside hormone optimization or weight management, because the three interact. Your clinician sequences them so changes can be interpreted.

  • A consultation focused on thyroid symptoms, history and family history
  • A complete thyroid panel where clinically indicated, reviewed with you
  • A written plan with dosing and monitoring intervals
  • Recheck testing timed to your therapy
  • Coordination with hormone, weight or metabolic care where relevant

The pathway

How care is planned

  1. 01

    Consultation

Symptoms, medical history, medications and family history are reviewed in full.

  2. 02

    Testing and review

A complete panel when indicated, reviewed in person rather than sent without context.

  3. 03

    Personalized plan

Options, dosing and monitoring are outlined before anything starts.

  4. 04

    Ongoing care and check ins

Labs and symptoms are rechecked on a schedule, with adjustments as needed.

Candidacy, risks, benefits and treatment options are determined during consultation with a licensed clinician. Nothing here is a promise of a specific result.

Common questions

Which labs do you check

It depends on your presentation. A full panel often includes TSH, free T4, free T3 and thyroid antibodies, along with related markers such as iron and vitamin D.

My TSH was called normal but I still feel unwell

That is a common reason patients come in. We look at the wider panel and read it against your symptoms, then decide together whether treatment or further review is reasonable.

How soon will I feel different

Thyroid changes take time to settle. Most patients recheck labs within six to eight weeks of a change, and symptoms are reviewed at the same visit.

Can this be managed with hormone or weight care

Yes. Thyroid, hormone and metabolic care are frequently planned together so one change can be assessed at a time.

The information on this page is general and is not medical advice. It does not create a provider and patient relationship, and it is not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Candidacy, risks, benefits and options are determined during a consultation with a licensed clinician. Individual results vary.
